The heart just appeared in the clay mix, although I did give it a little definition.
I guess it is a bit twee. That, I don't mind, but I am somewhat bothered by the lack of remixing in some of my earlier pieces. I like her for the clay mix and for the way she seems sculpted into the matrix 'rock,' but her profile is stolen and unaltered. I steer clear of such purity these days. I sacrifice beauty for what passes for originality.
Ok. It's interesting that the heart shape manifested itself. I would have kept it too. I also agree that the way it mixed is very pleasing. I guess my beef was with commenters fawning over such a simple mold when you have much more interesting sculptures.
